I don't think you know what hot is. I've been here for going on three weeks now, and its yet to really feel hot to me. You know how humid it was after Flossie? Well its like that in much of the mid west and eastern mainland all summer long. That and mid 90's. Every day I've been here weather is equal to the top 10 best days of the year back home.

I go top down fairly often but between 10:00am to 3:00pm the sun can be brutal, even on an overcast day. I had some red Wet Okole neoprene seat covers and after a year the passenger side was turning pink. The driver side was fine. I hate to think how much UV radiation I must've been blocking all those months. Personally NorCal is better for top down driving with cool but clear weather.

I was out on Maui a year ago. Saw several S2000s, NONE with their tops down.

My top down rules are above 30º and not raining steady. So now maybe you can understand a bit better my shock at all but one top up on these islands.
If you haven't already, I recommend the Road to Hana...or trek up and down Halelakala.

Youve been there 3 weeks. He's been there his entire life... Mid 90's weather is nice compared to 100+ in Texas. Especially for those living in Houston or Corpus. That's 100+ degrees along with like 90% humidity

90 on Oahu sounds awful. My brother lives there and I only want to visit during the colder months, because of that humidity! I would still move there in a heartbeat though if my line of work was more plentiful.

Being in SoCal I have learned to not go topdown when the sun is blazing. The burns or tan are horrible at the end of an hour drive to wherever I am going. If I was a tourist I am sure the top would always be down no matter what though.

Try feeling your seats after top down on a hot day. You could fry eggs on them.

Yes, did the road to Hana. Awesome. Road from Hana back to airport, not so much. Treacerous dirt road for much of the way. More like 'when will this be over'?

Humidity? Maybe compared to SoCal. But from where I'm from, East coast, this is very dry.

Like I said, every day I've been here = top 10 day of year back home.
