Joe - can you edit that up, and write up something for the new faq section? Basically the stuff you have up there, and what to expect if you go to the track.

Let me know. Thanks!

Nice "tag".......It does surprise me that no one has noted that your reaction time was really slow. This is the time between when the light turns green and when you cross the starting electronic eye. Your times would have been a lot better if your react times were half decent. This comes with time, many red light starts, and a whole lot of trips to the track . Great job!

Reaction time has no affect on ET, it is only important if you are really racing the guy in the other lane.

Actually Utah, that's not correct. ET timer starts once you move. So you could sit on the line for 10 seconds before launching and your ET would be the same as if you cut a perfect light. RT matters when you're racing, but not when going for best ET. In fact, for best ET, you should shallow stage (just get the second bulb to turn on) - this gets you more of a jump before your tire clears the beam, but it can increase RT.

Okay, this weekend at the strip I beat my best 60 ft time so far. I got 1.991 sec, but then missed the 1-2 shift and screwed it all up. I'm sure it would have been my best E.T. ever if it hadn't been for the missed shift. I have yet to break into the 13's and will probably quit trying now that warmer weather is here. You guys that are running the 1/4 mile in under 14 seconds: what's your typical or best 60 ft time?

What was the temperature of your runs? Up here in Canada, I dont think we KNOW what "hot" weather is like ....Our cars must be fast ALL the time....
