How many ft/lbs of torque does it need?

Spoon's X-Brace requires 29lb-ft.

Another important thing to consider when installing the brace is to loosen about halfway all surrounding bolts to the brackets that the brace bolts to. This will make lining up the brace much easier and reduce your chances of cross threading the bolts which is common on a newbe "X" brace install job. Tighten down the brace first then retighten the surrounding bolts.
