Where in LA did this happen? I'll be sure not to show my face around there.

Dude, that is ****ed up. Sorry it happened. Was the change and were the CD's sittin' out in the open, or did they just ransack the car to find stuff? Got insurance? I hope it goes well.

Things like this makes me afraid to take my car anywhere. Especially movies, mall, and school. So why did I buy this car?

I heard that. Location dictates which car I will drive. I use my car for daily drives to work and back where I can see the car outside my window. If my wife and I need to go to San Francisco, we take her car. Same with the malls, movies, or anyplace with a garage. We've adapted quite well, and we understand the risks. The top-down weekend drives more than make up for any inconvenience, tho.

Sorry to hear that... I've had a pretty bad run in with vandalism lately, and all of it was just pointless BS - no theft at all.

Sorry to hear your new S was brutalized. Almost impossible to protect against random crap like that. A whole lot of frustration and no outlet. It sucks. Is vandalism a recurrent possibility? If so I'd put her in a garage or consider an alarm.
