I feel so bad for you! I felt violated the time it happened to me years ago.

I lowered my comprehensive insurance to a $0 deductable in case that happens to me. That way, it costs me no money out of pocket.

If you have to leave your car outside at night, try not to leave
any money out where some passer buy can see it. Thats what I do. I hide everything from site. People will do some stupid things, just for smoke money. Not sure if this is what happened to you, but if they can't see it.......they may just keep walking.

Plus, the blinking light of the Honda factory alarm isn't much
of an invitation.

But hey, if they want it, there is always a way for them to get it.

 

Man, I am sorry to hear that. I always try to pack everything in the console and in the trunk if I am going to be away, and parked in a "good location". Most times I will drive my truck if I am going to park where there is lots of traffic. I worry more about someone scratching or denting my car with a shopping cart, etc... You can't have nothing these days.
