IMPORTANT QUESTION!
Due to unexpected events I cannot purchase a S2000 this year (family deaths and etc). I plan on making my purchase on May as a self gift to myself when I reenlist and give the other car to my wife as the "family mobile."
Enough of that...
Anywho - heres what I "MUST" know. I was reading that the S2000 CR is an added "trim level" to the 2008 S2000. So a soft top S2000 will be offered? If so...I will be a happy camper. I have been wanting this damn car since the day it landed on our shores...but, I got married. LoL.
If anyone can let me know - you are great! Also, do you think the "new 2009" S2000 is going to dissapoint and better off going with the 08 model? If they are marketing/pricing it against the Miata...I'd expect unwanted changes to occur?

The current S2000 will be offered the way it is today, with soft top standard.
The CR version will come with hard top only.
Nobody (despite what you read here) knows anything about what's happening for 2009 models yet. If you want the car, just get it. The residual value is great, so even if you only keep it a few years you won't lose too much money on it.
