**EDIT** http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures...l?id=4286779329

I bought this hood from AFS and will have some pictures tonight.

The weave looks great as well as the clear coat. I see maybe 2 minor imperfections with the carbon fiber itself but not even that noticeable.

The top is carbon fiber, the underneath is a flat black.

I love symmetry and well the opening above the battery annoyed me, but when my hood came I noticed there is no corner vents above the battery!! I could have sworn the pics on AFS post and Seibon's site had a third opening, oh and of course AFS telling me there was a third vent above the battery. So no opening, I have symmetry, I am really happy.

There are covers to cover the openings and it sorta lets the water flow towards the front of the car.

Silver mesh is put in the openings, looks removable. I do not like mesh period so I may remove it but its about preference. There is nothing wrong with the mesh I just dont like mesh.

The nozzle holes fit perfect. Downside is that there are no holes to pop in the hose holder so right now the hose hangs, but I will fix this.

I know I know hows fitment? Almost perfect! There are mounts for the hinges that line up real well. I did have a problem once closing. Passenger side was high and pullin towards passenger side. I found the problem and the fix:

Pulling to passenger side and the not closing easily, move the latch up and to the drivers side and fits beautifully.

The passenger side was higher, well it showed that the hood prop rod when closed hits the hood and keeps it up. Now I am not sure if moving the latch would have fixed this problem, but I had removed the underside covering on the passenger side and my hood fits much much better, both sides look exactly the same.

Lastly is that there is no prop rod holder in the hood, so I either need to make one or get a different way of propping the hood. I am not sure which I rather do at this point. I may just let the body shop make a holder.

Overall I think it is a really nice hood and it looks really good. There are slight modifications that need to be made, but nothing major I believe.

If anyone has any questions about the hood feel free to ask.

I hate all of those web sites that require me to sign up before seeing the content (ImageStation being one of them)

You're a registered owner, which I believe means you can put the pictures here on the s2ki site in your photo album...
