That was the other part of my point.
Overheating is a great way to cause all sorts of problems.
With my bone stock AP1 and sport tires at 35psi I was able to squeak out 34 mpg all highway on the way back from the Dragon last year. I didn't have to create hazardous conditions for my engine to do it and averaged 67 mph.

Bump because of gas prices.
I like what the guy did, just needs to give up a small hole in the radiator area to allow SOME air through, 237 isn't insane or anything but it will increase wear speed.
I would bet he could give up less then half an mpg with a small vent made and have his temps in check around 212 degrees which is plenty safe enough. The difference between NO air and even just a little is huge.
