Default Induction kit - K&N Vs AEM

Have been looking at induction kits for my S and fancy a K&N Genll kit which is said to give an extra 9bhp.

I have seen an AEM V2 kit that says it is the most powerful on the market.

Anyone used the AEM or have any advice on which way to go?

Cheers.

20hp and 15-20tq from an intake and tp only??? That's impressive if true. Are those uncorrected numbers?

one sits right next to the engine, but won't get the car hydrolocked, the other sits away from the engine closer to cooler air but may cause the engine to hydrolock. I'm guessing the one closer to cooler air will make more gains, but is it worth worrying about during the rainy season?

I can't see how anyone would Hydrolock. You'd have to drive through like a foot of water. No sane person does that. Just remember you have an intake and avoid any type of puddle just like you avoid supermarket bumps.

although i use K&N, i still agree with the hydrolocking. No one in their right mind would drive through a puddle deep enough to hydrolock a motor. Just driving in the rain will not, could not has ever cause a car to hydrolock with a coldair.
