there are many different types of intakes, depending on your needs. AEM/Injen are not the only options.

Go with either Comptech or Mugen for you CAI. Those are probably your best 2 products. They may cost a bit more but are worth it. The quality of their products is top notch.

Both of these are brand new and untested. Import Developemt has a Spoon "equivalent" that is awesome if you want a ram air snorkel. I have tested both the new and old AEM but can't get past the power and sound of the AEM.....although I admit the torque curve is a little weird and requires some getting used to.

The Mugen CAI has been out for awhile. I have a friend that has had it in his car for at least 6 months. The Comptech CAI is new and I have already purchased it. I haven't installed it yet so I can't compare yet. I had the AEM CAI and I really didn't care for it. I had a bad experience with it.

Then there's the Roarinc. that's currently being tested (do search) and the K & N FIPK (also under development).

Back to the original question. I have the Injen. Do your own research using the search feature of this site. You will find there are about 20 posts about the AEM and Injen CAI, and if you look carefully there are about 10-15 dyno sheets.

From my searching, the Injen seemed to dyno slightly higher than the AEM (maybe 2-3hp difference), and it only has one aggressive 90 deg bend rather than two (AEM). The AEM is available in red, blue, or gray, the Injen is chrome only. Otherwise they are literally identical.

I have installed both, and someone copied the other guy, I don't know who, but the resemblance is uncanny (except for that bend difference).

Oh, also the AEM is two piece and Injen is single piece. Don't worry about this affecting the install, it's still a piece of cake.

I think Injen is slightly more $ than AEM.

Because of my lack of knowledge, I have to ask this question.
Can an Injen Intake be used with a Speedcraft turbo setup?
