Default Best cai for s2k?

Well I know this is a matter of opinion largely, however I wanna know what people think. I am looking for a great CAI with nice gains across the band, great sounding, and quality filter etc. I want nice gains without sounding like a lil civic, so I am open to hearing what you guys think. What differentiates mugen, mg, injen, aem, comptech, etc? Please feel free to add input here. I was just gonna go with a J&R drop in filter but now im thinking CAI instead, ill make my decisions after hearing what you guys say.

I have the mugen CAI which is pretty expensive, but in my opinion nothing beats it! The AEM/Injen intakes give good bottom end power, but I have heard give nothing top end. I feel great gains low end, and even more top end. You have to look at the fact too that the Mugen intake is about $1000.00 more than the others....

Do you have before/after dynos? Mugen only claims a gain of a few hp, which I wouldn't expect to be noticeable at any rpm range. Maybe you got lucky somehow.

it depends on what you're looking for. i suggest doing some searches, contacting some vendors. i have my own opinions, but since i sell a wide variety of intakes i can't really take a side publicly

Tanq,

Really? I really felt a good amount of torque low end, and when at 60+ mph the car really pulls. The Mugen CAI wouldn't show much gains on the dyno, since your standing still. Even a fan wouldn't really help. In real world conditions, the Mugen rocks!!!!

i think Mugen is the best but $$$ If you are looking for a cheaper alternative.. try comptech, AEM or Injen..

I have the Injen CAI. I am very happy. Definite improvement over stock. Not expensive and easy to install. No dyno.
