My dealer wanted $272 to install hardtop onto a 2001, the 2002 will require less labor becasue of the defrost switch already being in the dash.

I'm getting the hardtop with the new 2002 car purchase so I got the install for free so I have no other price info.

Keep in mind, if the dealer does it, the hardtop becomes an item covered by warranty, that is why I decided not to do it myself.

Great color man! My '02 Spa is due soon. Unjoy your lid!

jss2k,

do a search for hardtop installation. You should also go to handa-accessories.com to download the installation procedures in PDF format. Here's a good link to a hardtop installation discussion: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=11342

Btw, I will be heading out to Breckenridge to ski this weekend, how's the snow conditions in colorado ?

do it yourself! its not that hard or time consuming (assuming you can follow directions) the installation proceess basicly consists of taking apart some of the plastic moldings and replacing a few brackets. wiring for the defroster is simple and straitforward. your ht should have came with instructions but i found that downloading the ones from h&a helped too.

i paid 280 dollars exactly for my top to get installed.
took about 2 hours at honda with 2 installers. didnt look very complicated but its better safe than sorry, especially since the cost costed over 2k+ its not worth the hassle and better to just pay the 280.
