I prefer my stock titanium knob. I like the burning sensation I experience after leaving the car in the Houston sun for more than five minutes... Or the numbing effect when first driving it on a really cold day.

Looks good, I enjoyed my RX8 shifter maybe I should get one

Only thing like I said the "silver" wears off, doesn't take long either.

The lighted one is like $300 I think at least it was like that much when it first came out. I think it's only available in japan.

Nope, no more locking nut. I screwed the new knob in as much as I could, so the height isn't as much. The knob is actually bigger than the stock MY00 one, but it turns out to be the same height overall because it covers more of the stick.

I had an RX8, I returned it for an S2k. Unfortunately it doesn't take long for the wear to begin, 4000-5000 miles. Not a biggy if you own an RX8 because it's covered under warranty but it would suck for you.

I had mine for 4000 km's mine was not warn at all.
