Well, I got my VAFC last night and I haven't had a chance to install it yet but, I did play with where I'm gonna put it. I decided to put it right over the drivers side left a/c vent. I never use my a/c or heat and I velcro'ed it so that it stays on there good but, I can pull it and put it under the seat when I leave my car. I have pics bellow...I think it's the best place to put it cause you can see all of your readouts and it almost makes it a part of the dash...let me know what you guys think!

That's a nice install but I can't believe you live in Phoenix (especially for the last few years) and you're covering up an AC vent.

Heh...I never use the A/C cause the top never goes up. And I just think the A/C on while the top is down is a waste of power and gas so .....

I'd say tuck it into the corner of the window.

i'm with westmaster on placement or somewhere a little lower like attached to the bottom of the dash under the fan controller if there is room and your leg won't hit it...

Why would I want to put it out of my sight like that? There are setting on it I would like to monitor and if it's in a place like that it wouldn't be visible?

I was thinking you could angle it up or something.... covering the vent just ruins the lines of the dash for me...whether you use the ac/heat or not....just my opinion....

another possibility depending on your set up already is to see if it will somehow fit either on or in the radio cover, or the console between the shifter and the little plastic storage area or something...I go do a really finished look is all.

I guess in dash mounting similar to what folks are doing with the gps/dvd screen would be another option, or even sun visor mount, maybe...
