Default Installed: K&N FIPK Gen2 Intake

Hey guys,

Just wanted to make a post to let everyone know I've successfully installed the K&N FIPK Gen2 Intake and absolutely LOVE it. I'd recommend this intake to anyone. For the price, $269 shipped, you really can't beat it in comparsion to some of the other kits out on the market. The install was not that bad, however I recommend assembling the kit prior to starting the install to save yourself some headaches. Other than spilling hot coolant all over my hands after removing the coolant lines (duh!) it was cake. The hardest part about the install was getting to the bolt below the heatshield, that was a real pain in the ass.

The sound? Incredible. It really makes such a beautiful roar at VTEC and even down low it sounds much better than stock. Unlike most other intakes I've installed it doesn't sound like a very pissed off possum hissing at you.

The power? Well, my butt dyno tells me there are definitely some extra horses at VTEC, but then again it may just be the placebo effect. I might go do a dyno run and have a look but unfortunately I don't have a baseline to compare with. Anyway, good product and overall I'm very happy with it!

Well the intake installation is 'under the hood' I was not just talking about the intake, I was giving tips and advice on actually installing it. Needless to say, you're the mod - thanks for the move

We usually keep the product reviews in S2000 talk. UTH gets used more for "How do I instal it"

It's all good
