Installed Spoon Header today
Thanks to Pappy & ChrisD, we installed a Spoon Header on my S today. Took a good 7 hours and wasn't easy. It's been raining all day, so I couldn't get on it too much, but it definitely pulls harder. Chirped 3rd for the first time (ground was wet a bit, but still)
. My only comment, I can barely feel the thrust of VTEC in 2nd anymore, but only because of the extra boost. ChrisD, Pappy & myself will post some more details and pics of the install.

Cool, you guys finally got it in?
sorry you guys had to go through all that, but the work was worth it, right? The power curve should now be smoother, that's why you're not feeling the "kick" as much

Thanks for the help (and the product) mingster. Again, another great Spoon product you sold me...and you got it to us in a day...sweet!!! As for all the trouble, it wasn't too bad just because we knew we were installing a Spoon header. It makes all the hard work much more fun when you know the result. Anyway, we had the car jacked up to above our chests. It was hilarious. But well worth it!
First of all some of the screws holding the stock heat shield and the stock header were in very awkward positions and were extremely tight, making the removal of the header a couple hour event. It seems as if the most difficult problem we faced was actually pulling the stock header out and trying to pull the Spoon one through. It was almost like a puzzle. It ended up that we just had to jack the car, ridiculously high (above chest high). To make a long story short, if we would of read up on it or asked for advice it probably wouldn't of taken more than 3-4 hours. But what's the fun it that, right?
The only complications is that you need the car jacked up to about or above 2 feet. We were not prepared for this, so we were stuck going from store to store trying to find high jack stands. That was the brunt of the install time. The rest of the time was just "very" careful handling and us being lazy. If it was done with us being prepared, it would have been a 3 hr install.
The header is a great f*#cking peice! I love Spoon.... Red Blur had the ECU reset, so the car wasn't running at the optimum level, and he still felt a big difference. Just like Richard said, the car had a big jump in low end torque, and pulls hard at high end, but the midrange seems unchanged. He had no regrets what so ever!
Rich, we owe you one for this. We found that the problem was the Heat Shield that runs along the header and catylatic converter. I just unscrewed the piece, and the header slid it. (I threw that heatshield about 30 ft across the yard after I found out is was the problem all along!!!!)
ChrisD will get some pictures up, and we will show you guys the Header Install.
