Wow!

Got my Spoon X-Brace today from MG Racing and installed it right away. The installation is very intuitive, which helps when the instructions are in Japanese. Simply remove the 4 factory bolts, position the brace and install the longer bolts provided by Spoon (Torque these new bolts to 30 ftlbs = 40 Nm = 4.0 kgf m). All told, the installation took 30 minutes.

Now for the good stuff. Took the car out for a 1.5Hr drive and came away with the following. First, the front end is noticeably tighter over rough surfaces. Second, the steering turn is quicker (read instant). Third, the car seems quieter. Conclusion: GET THIS BRACE!

Just want to thank Giampiero for putting together this group buy...

Now that is what I like to hear!!!!

Looks like that is gonna be my next mod for the car! The strut tower bar makes for a little better ride but nothing fantastic.

So I take it you like your new toy?

Plus its a hidden mod which I like!

Pinky,

I really like my new toy! Very effective and it looks like it came from the factory.

Warspeed,

I didn't take pictures of the install process, but I will try to take a picture of the installed X-Brace and post it tommorrow.

KidS2K,

The brace was $200. I got it as part of an MG Racing Group Buy. It took about 1.5 months to get. Try contacting MG Racing...Giampiero may have some left in stock.

We did ordered extra ones and we sold them also.
We have a next shipment coming and its sold out also.
We have at least an other 10 customers that are interested,so we will organize an other Group Buy next week.Doing the Group buy by the way delivery it will be a little longer for 2 reasons;Spoon does not keep really big stock and shipment will be by Sea,to save on shipping.

Just so everybody knows, adding this brace moves you out of scca solo II stock class and into street prepared class. Something to keep in mind if you autocross.
