Default Installing Bilstein PSS9 - help please

I am installing PSS9 now - without special tools I was able to take out rear shocks (I had lower Eibachs on them). Now I do not seem to be able to put PSS9 shocks in. They are too tall and I do not seem to be able to compress them. Any insides from whomever installed them already? Thanks!

I used a 6ft 4x4 wood post to lever the arm down.

So how did you remove the springs from the OEM shock to remove the OEM top hats?

It has been a while since I installed mine, but I do remember it being a PIA to lower mount into place. I think we used a pry-bar to do it.

OEM shocks were not a problem since I had them already lowered with Eibach springs. To remove them with OEM springs I had to use a compressing tool. But that's not the case now. I have both rear shocks removed and can't get PSS9 on. I do not seem to be able to compress them somehow.

okay, not one but a combination of two prey bars may seem to work. Hell the installation of Motons on my Viper was a breeze compared to this. Problem solved.

u shud be able to fit them in...its either u get a buddy of urs whos heavy set and step on the hub to bring it down or use pry bar to to fit them in. Its a bit of a hassle if ur doing this by urself. I did mine without any issue. Unless pss9 has changed from the last time i had mine

If you need to do this again sometime...this method works like a charm:

You can also unbolt the rear sways from the control arm, then it would very easy to have more room by stepping on the rotor. Have a buddy come over to step on it for you.
