I installed mine a few weeks ago. I feel the same, they say to use a push pin to make a small hole. What the hell kind of pin will pucture the fender!! It was all good though..

I installed the front and rear spoilers last week. The front required no cutting or drilling of any kind. I simply drove the self-tapping screws into the plastic bumper by hand with a screwdriver. You should have no trouble at all.

I had problems lining the rear spoiler up, but thats a different story. The front is a cakewalk though Good luck!

Getting the clip nuts on the bottom were a PITA for me till I lossened the remaining 10mm bolts near the spot you are trying to insert them(4). Once you loosen these a tad the OEM black plastic "pan" will give you some play inbetween the pan and bottom of the bumper. then the clip nuts will slide in easily. Leave all the 10mm bolts slightly loose till the sides are on correctly, then snug everything up.

The self tapping screws become easier to install if you turn your wheels to allow more leverage and a straighter shot at the screws.

I remember reading a few weeks back where someone installed his in 10 min. Hmmm I guess I'm just not that good.

Take your time and you will love the lip once it's on.

Plz don't cut your car. Read my above post and simply loosen the bolts near the cutouts you are speaking of and they will slide in.

I suppose you could take the bumper off and then install the lip. It might be a little tricky to tighten some of the bolts, but you should be fine.
