i rode in an AP2 at an autocross even this weekend and notice there was a pocket on passenger side dash. i thought it could be very useful in my car. has anyone installed one in an AP1 or is this only compatible with AP2. would probably have to cut a hole in the dash.

It looks like it's a different shape than the rectangular piece that's in the AP1s unless that's my misinterpretation of the 3D attempt in a 2D world.

 

I was told by my dealer (grain of salt included ) that the dash for the 06 model was redesigned for this pocket, and it cannot be retrofitted to the 04 or 05 models.

Of course, anything can be done with enough time and resources!!

 

was this an optional item or standard on all AP2 and what year AP2 did it come with.

 

2006, and it was deteremined back when it came out the it cannot be retrofitted without some serious work........not worth it.
