Default Instrument panel surround

Searched and searched...

I'm looking at ditching the dark silver instrument panel surround in my MY02 in favor of a black one. I know that all 00-03 instrument panel surrounds are interchangeable, and that the 00-01 were black and the 02-03 were dark silver.

I thought the AP2 panels would be the same, but in looking at www.hondaautomotivepatrs.com, I found that all the list prices are different...

00 "AP1" Graphite Black panel, List price $119.99

02 "AP1" Dark Silver panel, List price $109.54

04 "AP2v1" Graphite Black panel, List price $125.65

06 "AP2v2" Graphite Black panel, List price $110.68

I think its been established that the two colors of AP1 panels are interchangeable, but what about the others? Are there any differences or are they all completely interchangeable?

Well...I the 02 one is currently the one you have right now. I got a black one off an 05 recently that fit with no problems at all. You do need more then the bezel unless you plan on keeping your silver HVAC controls and radio controls. I don't know what difference is on the 01 or 06 one.

The paint is Sebring Silver.

The paint in the gauge area is flat.

The painted bezel looks really good with the red interior. Anyone have this with black interior?
