Default insurance

I finally got a quote on a 2001 S2000. On my own policy it would be $220 monthly. If I carried over on my parents policy (which is what I'm doing now) it brings the total down to $196 a month. This doesn't seem that bad for being 17, but is there any other young S owners out there that can give me their monthly price to compare to? Currently I pay $141 a month with my "good student discount" on a 1994 Mazda 626 V6 5 speed.

O just in case this helps I've only had a small fender bender about 1 1/2 years ago which should be falling off my parents policy soon. (with no points added on to my record). Any imput is appreciated

Nick

Where do you live and what coverage limits do you have? $196/month sounds like a decent rate if you're 17.

This probably doesn't help you much, but I'm 26 years old and pay around $100/month to insure my '02 S2000. Coverage limits are 100/300/100 with deductibles of $500 (collision) and $100 (comprehensive). This is in California through Mercury Insurance.

My little brother is 16 and just got his license. He's also on my policy with the same coverage. He drives a '01 Accord and his premium is $75/month with a good student discount applied.

wow that seams really fair for your brother. I was just curious to see what others paid is all. I think I'll be sticking with State Farm however because of our No Cancellation policy we have with them due to our trouble free record.

I am 18, I have a perfect driving record, I am on my parents policy.

I paid $200 a month for my 96 civic, am now paying $225 a month for an 03 s2000, not too bad in my opinion
