Wel if you've read the posts you searched, you also must know that no one here can accurately answer your question.
There are too many variables, your age, driving record, location - your "new to you car's" age, location - type of coverage (fire, theft, collision, etc) and in what amount. If you're financing the purchase I would guess the bank will demand full coverage.

Don't laugh but you might try progressive.com or some other on-line type of quote. I had tried one of these a number of years ago -- it was fast and painless
but the quote was higher so I obviously didn't switch - but at least it could be starting point for you.

not to sound like an ass, but did you read more into the other insurance threads?

these pop up probably once a week.


search for sites that quote various carries.. insweb.com or esurance... progressive.com does this as well.
