They keep raising my insurance, started with around $1200 several years ago and now paying $1600 for full coverage and $500 deductible.....I think I got Safety Ins.

Clean driving record is the key.
State Farm wouldn't even give me the time of day with 2 tickets.
They were both coming off in March and April of this year... told me me to come back in May, haha.

FWIW, I'm over 50, live in SC and the insurance on my 8 year old S2000 is MORE than the insurance was on my 2007 Boxster.

I'm 19, my S is my DD, and I have one ticket on my record, and my premium is $740/6 months with USAA. I also live in Columbia, SC.

1. I'm almost 60, and have Erie Insurance.
2. My house and other car is insured by them, and they weren't going to insure this S b/c of weight and hp ratio, but since I have been with them for 1000 yrs., they did, and I pay about $600 yr.

Can’t remember my premium off hand, but I was pleasantly surprised at how little my insurance increased over my Honda Accord (in my early 30’s with a perfect driving record).

1. Mine is $200 over my Corolla, and recently I decreased my deductible on the S b/c I have to park it at a "working class" Mall everyday, and in the past there have been breakins, so it is $250 more.

I'd shop around for new insurance then; or you have a horrid record. My insurance went up 13 dollars/month when I traded in my 05 Sentra for my 06 S, full coverage and I was 24 at the time.

I'm now paying roughly ~$95/month.

1. If I paid monthly, mine would be $91/mo. Why would I switch my insurance I've had for 40 yrs. with no accidents. $400ish/Corolla; $600ish/S2000 Full coverage.
