MY04 S2000 - $441/6 months through State Farm for full coverage. It's only $40 more than my Dodge Dakota!

I'm 33 with clean record.

Try amica.com and libertyquote.com. Both are 5-star rated and come in much lower than AAA. Amica is #1 on JD Powers' list and gives you a free rental car ($15/day, $450/max) and still has the best rates I've found.

My rates are $320/mo for 300/100/300, 23 years old, clean record, good driver discount, but it all depends on where you live. I moved from Pasadena to West LA and my insurance went up $90/month overnight. Go figure.

My insurance company (A+) told me yesterday they wouldn't even insure my new '04! I ve been with them for 17 years, have 4 cars and my house insured with them a totally clean driving record and they just said we don't insure "those" types of cars!

I told her it shouldn't be based on the vehicle but rather on the driver but no luck.

I got a quote from Progressive of $433 for 6 months and then I tried Costco/Amex and got $410 for 6 months. Went with Costco Amex, I can even put it on my Amex card and get Membership Rewards points.

I pay $180/month to State Farm. This includes coverage on a 95 Accord (primary vehicle), 2003 S2000 (non-primary), and my Renter's Insurance. I have discounts for multi-line policy and multi-car policy. I have additions for having an accident record.

I think that the coverage for just the S2000 is around $85-90 per month (remember, it's my 2nd vehicle, though). When it was my primary (before the accident), I think it was about $105-110 per month.

I'm 26 in TX, and have no tickets on my record, however I do have the recent claim for a single-car accident in the S2000.
