It's all where you live. When I moved from Lancaster or York county PA to Chester county (which is just a bunch of farms, but closer to Philly), my insruance almost doubled. We pay, for 2 people, married, $2700 a year for: 92 Eclipse GSX, 97 Talon TSi AWD, 93.5 Supra Twin Turbo, 00 Durango, and 98 Civic.

Don't forget that you can haggle on price! They -can- and will move on price.

most of you are older so insurance is really inexpensive. i wish i were older right noe. but anyways, my integra is $222/ month so the s2k is now going to be $300/month not that big of an increase for the drastic change in type of cars!
so im not that upset

Funny thing is that I pay less on my S2000 than I did on my '99 Prelude. Yep, Male, 26, single, zero tickets, 1 accident (Dec. '98) with no points or tickets assessed. 100/300 coverage, $500 deductable. $1100 per year. And it's my daily driver. Did I mention that I'm in Florida?

By far the cheapest of this bunch... i pay $455 for my S2000 with full coverage and a $250 deductible ($100 on windshield, etc..) Erie Insurance, live in small town in Central PA (low crime, etc...)

I have 5 insured vehicles, so this may help.

Scot

Typhoon only costs $470.... combined i am way cheaper than a single M3 (quoted $1300 for the E36.. cannot imagine what a E46 would cost).

O ya... married, 31 years old, no accidents or tickets in over 8 years. (157 on speedo more than once though )

$1849 = $469 (86 Celica) + $657 (93 Accord) + $889 (00 S2000) + $6 (Surcharge) - $172 (Dividend)

The difference among the three cars is mostly due to the 'collision loss' component of the insurance. The S2000 is a more valuable vehicle, so it costs more to insure.

With regard to 'liability' and 'personal injury', the Celica is actually slightly more expensive to insure than either of the Hondas.

Andre, I didn't think there was any such thing as $50 deductible anymore, unless that's on your comp. And you guys with Nationwide, I just hope you never have to file a claim.
