Yup, the car is in the second highest risk bracket... next up is the GT3 et al.

In May I was with AIG and got a quote (before I bought the new '03) of $1455 per year with $250 deductable and no points, one of three cars for two drivers. When the bill came, it was $1900 for the S2000 and they raised car three ('96 Oddessy) an additional $200.

I switched to GEICO and it was $1900 for all three for the year. The S2000 is $900 per year but the deductable is $1000 now.

I plan to check with Sentry for the deal where you void your collision if you drive drunk and you get a half of your premium back after 5 years with no claims.

Yeah my car insurance is almost as much as my monthly payments on the car. But i haven't had a ticket in over a year and a half, so pretty soon my insurance should start going down... I hope

Mercury Insurance
16K annual mileage
persistency, good driver, multiple-auto discounts
50/100/25 with 250 deductible


WOW I feel for the guy paying $3600/yr... DAMN!

31M here. '04 S2K and I drop $818 a year for full coverage. Live in Cleveland. The car is great but the city sucks.
