Default Intake installed with ETD

Hey, just wanted to advise you guys of my recent purchase of intake and ETD on ebay. For the intake, I purchased a short ram intake and changed the filter to a something called a green filter. My friend told me that its similar to a k&N but breathes better. Im not sure if anyone has heared about this filter. After for the heat soak, I put a cover around the intake so it could block most of the heat coming from the engine. If anyone could host the pictures, I will be glad to post them to see what you guys think. For the ETD, I saw it on ebay one day and decided to go for it. This ETD required no cutting of the factory heatshield or fuse box.

After I installed it and drove it for 3 days, I was suprised on the results. I first noticed that when the engine started, you could see the the engine not move around so much when turning on. While driving, shifting seems much smoother. Also at high speeds, the shifter is not moving around like it used to. It used to shake like crazy at high rpm's.

Regarding the Intake, the sound is much louder than stock. Regarding power, Don't really feel the difference. The sound kinda throws you off thinking that you are going faster than you are.

It mounts to the strut tower like the others, but it uses a different metal piece which connects it to the engine angled to a piece which has 3 bolts on it. I dont know what the piece is called. Its next to a circular plastic piece on the car.

Does it sit higher up? So you didn't have to cut a hole or get a new heat shield..and you didn't need to remove the fuse box bracket?

You dont need to remove the fuse box or heatshield. It goes across the front of the heat shield. No cutting or Drilling required.

Maybe an ignorant question, but with only 162 lb-ft of torque, will a damper matter all that much?

It was useless to me. But others swear by it. It reduced vibration in my shifter...i suppose resulting in smoother shifts under load...but other than that, no.
