Default Intake Snorkel: J's Racing vs Spoon Sports

So last night I was on the dyno again, and I found out my exhaust makes a whopping 2whp!

Then my friend told me to take off the intake cover and hold the fan over it...I made big gains all over the powerband and up to 10hp gains in some places!

So, I think I want a cold air intake. Actually, I just want cold air on my stock intake. So I've narrowed it down to the J's or the Spoon.

Here's what I've found with my limited online research:

J's -> bigger inlet size, nice look, marginally more expensive
Spoon -> smaller inlet size, I don't care for the yellow carbon weave, a little bit lower price

For the J's, I am referring to the snorkel used with the stock air box, not the Tsuchinoko intake (or whatever it's called).

Anyone have either of these want to chime in on what you have and your impressions of them?

My third option (should everyone tell me to not get either of the above) is the comptech intake.

I've previously owned a PRM and AEM CAI V1, and I want to try something new.

I have a spoon replica snorkel i got for $100 of ebay and I really like it... You also have to realise that if you want to do this mod your gonna need to gut the stock intake box completely and probably want to block of the resonator.

edit: what exhaust was it that you dynoed?

I have the J's OEM hood snorkel. The intake is smaller than the tpye V and also the bend is a bit thinner to clear the OEM hood. I love it, you can really feel the throttle response on the highway when the air is rushing in.

I am using the AFE filter, gutted box, and resonator blocked off.

I switched from the FIPK which had a nice growl to it.

i have spoon replica with gutted box , seemed to work good with the heat bog issue and feels better all the time like when your motor is still semi cool and you rip it , with the spoon snorkel it feels like this all the time
