This is the JR Filter sponsored Carlsson Honda S2000 GT race car. I've always thought Carlsson to be a Mercedes tuner (really expensive though) than anything else. You can barely see it, but there is a small wing (not as dramatic as some of the wings I've seen on JDM S2000s) on the rear.

I wonder what those 2 black bazooka looking things are for...lights? Camera? Grenade launchers?

Photon torpedos...

That's interesting. Carlsson IS only a Mercedes tuner. Their 400+hp S-class 6 liter V8 was reviewed on Speedvision yesterday, and it was awesome!

Why they are sponsoring a Honda I have no idea, but that car is very cool. Those black things probably are light covers.

What races does this car run in?

Those grenade lauchers was an option Q wanted to put on my car but I passed.

Hay with all those STICKERS he must be getting at least an extra 20 hp from those!

Really strong electro-magnets to get an extra pull from the car in front when slip-streaming?

NO, that can't be it, there's never a car in front when you're in an S2000. Silly me! Unless you're putting a lap on someone of course...

Those are lights... that car was prepped for the 2000 24-hour race at The Nurburg Ring in Germany. Some 830 cars took the green flag and they race around the clock. (that's why they have the lights).

Here are some more pics of both Carlsson and Spoon's entry into that event:
