OK I'll bite.

That thread is not even remotely interesting. It is full of stupid comments about cars that the people posting have very little idea of.
Threads like that can be seen on almost any other forum anywhere.
If I want some useful information I'll stick to this forum.

Hmm maybe I worded that too strongly - oh well.

Yeah... I agree. If I want to read stupid comments about cars that the people posting have very little idea of, I can satisfy that requirement by reading s2ki talk most times.

Okay, after a smoke break I retract the previous comment. This is hilarious. This has to be were all the yahoo import chat people hang out. There's enough sig quotes to last a lifetime.

All this time, and NOW I find out the S2000 has a V4.

What IS interesting about that thread is just how misinformed and close-minded people can be. I certainly do not expected everyone to love this car. In fact, one of the things I like about it is that MOST people couldn't live with it themselves. However, comments made in threads such as that are almost haphazard in a sense in that people seem to be making suggestions to this guy based on their own close-minded and misinformed opinion. I understand that that's 99%+ of the internet, but then again that's why I don't ask questions like...

S2000, good car?
especially on a generic sports car forum and expect information that will actually help me make a decision. He'd obviously be better off corresponding on boards of the cars he's actually interested in to make himself informed enough to form his own opinions. Threads such as that one are such

On many of the automotive boards, it seems that the lower the IQ, the more times the "submit post" button is clicked.

Those comments are good for a chuckle, particularly the moron's language skills. My S2K is a daily driver and I love it. It is a Jeckle and Hyde car; if you want to take it easy, it performs smoothly and flawlessly. When you really want to get it on, it transforms into a real screamer, both the engine, exhaust note, suspension, brakes, handling, balance and fun factor. Yes, you can have it both ways.
