What a great thread! I have an '02 s2000 and an '03 RSX Type-S. I actually thought about trading in my RSX for a BMW 330. After pricing the BMW, I was looking at over $50,000.

My RSX has a little over 50,000 miles, drives great and does incredible in the snow - I have a set of Blizzak's on the stock wheels that I throw on in the winter. Also, my RSX is paid off!

So, I decided against the trade-in.

Seriously, I think alot of people buy BMW's just to be able to say they have one. They're fantastic cars, but why people have to rip on other people just because they don't own the same car as they do is beyond me.

I think the reason BMW owners rip on other cars is because the monthly payment is as much as their house payment and they have to justify it.

Just my opinion.

The bolded section is exactly what this forum is doing to BMW owners. Funny how this works out... I really enjoyed what you said Robert O, nicely said.

man, that's crazy... the other day, I was driving down this road with my girlfriend in shotgun, and when we caught an open break in traffic, this bmw 330i evened up with me and started reving his engine.

I tried to downshift and gently pull away from him, since his antics were making my woman nervous, but then he went WOT and darted ahead of me... until he hit the patch of traffic 50 feet in front of us.

what a douche.

Yeah, S2K owners never do that.

The S2K aren't the type of cars that most BMW owners like. Our cars are for the purists. The Honda badge really turns them off as it's not considered "luxury".
Nail on head.

I was with my friend in his 04 350z, when this 20's something dude rolled up in a 330i 4 door, with his girl, looking to race..I did my Vin Diesel impersonation and said smoke this ****...We raced from light to light and this cocksucka was out...My mans 350z has these heavy 30lb staggered chrome 19's and shitty tires..All we did was spin off the line. The guy had to have something done under the hood or was a real great driver..I told my friend,u need to do something about your wheel/tire package..U just got SMOKED by a Beemer...

Yeah funny the info people seem to think they know about other cars.

AP2 has 40+tq over the s2k. S2000 revs to 10k with a chip, AP2 is detuned from factory so they should have an easier shot against an ap2 etc.
Both are nice cars. Very different types however. I'd gladly take a 330 for a daily driver. Definitely not a fast car though. Very comfortable and nice to cruise in imo.

typical bmw fanboy thing to say...while the S is certainly not the fastest in a straight line,it doesn't have to be. The spirit of the car is so well designed that it's sure as hell going to be fun to drive no matter what.

I pulled up to the store the other day and a guy in his 20s pulled up in an e76 m3 wearing his bluetooth earpiece,of course he made a widly flashy parking job and revved his engine with music blaring...typical bmw douche. We all just stared at him...sometimes I would rather have the car that's slower in a straight line and retain my dignity.
