I noticed looking at other s2000's that some have carpet lining the sides of the center console or the have leather that is smooth and not perferated like mine

or am i seeing things.....did my car have a different package or something?

 

If you bought your car used, the previous owner may have gotten an aftermarket console cover because MY00 and MY01 cars came with carpets only.

 

You are correct. The MY00-01 have the carpet center console and the MY02+ have the Leather consoles. If you happen to get the carpet console, you can buy the Ricks leather console from the board sponsor Rick's Signature Accessories. They have most colors to accentuate the interior. I even changed mine for the Yellow, and I have heard nothing but great comments on it

 

yes I did by it used a month ago....it had 18k and always garaged........the previous owner also put a trunk liner and saddle bags, floormats etc.... it is a 2000 year model......i like what the previous owner did......anyways thnx for the comments.....off the shoot pool and drinks so beer.....don't worry i am not driving and the s2000 stays at home in the garage....later,

Here is the stock one added by Honda in 2002.

 

Your perforated console cover is an aftermarket add on, doesn't look like Rick's though, I thought his covered the center side carpet. The trunk saddle bags and trunk liner are Muz.

The 02, 03 and 04 center covers are vinyl.
