I like the OEM seats. I vote for having them reupholstered.

My driver's side bolster is getting cracks and it's got a chunk the size of a dime missing out of it. I'm going to go to a reupholstery place and get an estimate.

BTW, I like the OEM seats, but you can always go for recaro's.

If you want to get something reupolstered try this. Your honda dealer may can have it done by the people that add leather to base accords and civics, and you would proably come out cheaper than going to an upolstry shop. I know when I worked at toyota it cost the customer around $900 to upgrade a camry, so to only do your 2 seats it should be much cheaper. Their work looked like it came from the factory and not slip on covers.

I WOULD REUPHOLSTER THE SEATS. MY DRIVER SEAT HAS A FEW CRACKS AND I'M THINKING ABOUT REPLACING THE AREAS THAT CRACK EASY WITH VINYL BEING THAT LEATHER WON'T LOOK GOOD FOR TOO LONG. I HAD VYNIL SEATS ON MY OLD CIVIC, NEVER HAD A CRACK AND LOOKED JUST LIKE LEATHER.

Clean them with a leather cleaner and treat them with a leather conditioner. See what they look like then. Myself, I put on Okole seat covers. These are made of wet diving suit material and is very form fitting. They feel and look great and they protect the OEM seats, too.

I've seen the OEM leather "skins" (aftermarkets too, but they don't fit nearly as well) go on eBay before... basically you undo the hogrings that hold the leather onto the seat, remove the leather cover, put the new one in place (involves a fair bit of patience..) and put the rings back in.

A friend of mine did it with his Civic Coupe.. took him the better part of a day, but worked well in the end.

triple bonus points: find a wrecked car where the driver's side / pass side side-rail has been pushed in far enough to bend the seat frame, making the seat itself unuseable, and worth very little $$.. Pull the leather off of that.
