Default Introduced a friend to the S2000

So tonight I took a friend out and about in my car. He has never been a car guy so when we stopped at a gas station I was surprised to hear him ask if he could drive it. We were only 5 miles from my place so he didn't get that long of a drive. As he was driving he was making comments of "man this is the nicest clutch i've ever driven" or "wow this shifter feels so good" along with comments about how the car handles etc..

Ever since I sold my old S I have been talking about getting another, and after we park he gets out and says "now I understand why you always talked about getting another one" and then made some comments about how he wouldn't want to ride his motorcycle if he had one of these

All in all I thought it was cool to see someone who doesn't have any type of bias towards cars take it for a spin and enjoy it for what it is. A great car that begs to be driven. Who knows maybe he will end up looking for one now too....

I agree. When someone sits in my car and I floor it, they are shocked. Every single person who has driven my car also can't believe how nice it is. Then all I think this is beyond ridiculous it's also a convertible driving over here in California.

Why do the Japanese make amazing convertibles again?????

Agreed as well.

The first car my buddy drove after being in prison for 5 years was the s2000. When he first saw it he was like "meh, just another Honda," as he owns a civic. After much effort he caved in to my offer to let him drive it. He took it into VTEC and got it into illegal speeds. He got a cold sweat and said "I gotta do that again!"

He did it a 2nd time and picked up even more speed, and that's when I said "ok enough, I don't want you to go back in over a driving issue," lol.

He's driven other cars since he got out, including an E46 M3, but the s2000 always comes up as the comparison vehicle.

He has not stopped talking about the car since

agreed. Even when the car isn't moving it is always refreshing to hop in the cockpit.

I took my buddy for a ride in my S2000 on the Tail of the Dragon in TN this year. He is an ex military "macho" type who has never driven anything but pickup trucks and in the past has commented that my S2000 was "girly". Well after his first ride in mine through some tight curves, spending most of the time in VTEC...his mind changed!

He commented: "Holy shit, Now I know why you guys like these little Hondas so much!"
