Violation...When I was searching for my S2000 up here (back in September '00), the best I could do (pre-negotiation) was $5k over MSRP @ Capitol Honda (with forced options), Stevens Creek Honda, and Dublin Honda. Larry Hopkins Honda wanted $7500 over MSRP.

Anyways, hearing all of this, my Sister down in San Diego was convinced that this was just a Bay Area thing. Well, my Brother-In-Law dropped by Poway Honda & was quoted $10k over MSRP (and they were only getting one more car (Black/Black) in through the end of the year)! Added to that, a $5k deposit was required, and the car could be given away to a higher bidder! Needless to say, I didn't buy my car at Poway Honda.

The dealer I bought my car from (Honda of Oakland) called me today to tell me that they just just a new silver/black in today. (I had told him that a friend of mine was interested in buying one... unfortunatly her S.O. had other ideas). The internet sales guy's name is Eddie Ngyuen. Very cool guy.. very professional and helpful. They are asking 36k for the car.

Are blue ones coming for '02 for sure? I only want either a white/red or yellow/black, but the yellow is a little too flashy (cop magnet) and i'm not sure if I like the red interior too much. So if there's going to be blue's out next year, I might be best off waiting for it. Anyone?
