Default invida + FIPK = no drone!

I've had the invidia exhaust for a while. I love it. but as everyone knows, that 3500rpm drone is deafening!

on sunday we put in the FIPK in my car. A very functional, clean piece. It gave a nice growl in lower rpms, and a sweet piercing sound up high. beautiful.

But best of all: it got rid of most of the damn invidia drone! The car sounds great.

As for performance, i am not going to make any number claims, but the car certainly feels like there's a little more pull at the least.

I can tell a noticeable difference early in the morning at the beach when the air is very dense and crisp.

The FIPK alone is worth the purchase IMO, but it's definetly worth the upgrade if you've got an invidia ( and i'd imagine exhausts with similar drone would share the same results ).

I've been running a K&N FIPK intake for a while and it's great. Recently I installed a V3 Invidia and TP and love it.

There is definitely drone at partial throttle between 3000-3500 rpm, and loud as all get-out. But in a good way.

I can't imagine what the drone would have been like without the TP or intake.

yeah, there's still some drone. but it's BAD without the TP or intake. you get used to it, but it's a much cleaner sound with the intake.

the FIPK gives better throttle response, it's probably what you are feeling, but it gives a deeper sound, and put together with a test pipe is very nice =)

hah, your never going to completly elimiate the drone. The number one best thing to do, to eliminate it, is to throw on a testpipe.

+1

I just fitted my invidia testpipe with my invidia v3...

A lot of the drone went away...maybe about 30%, but I found that the 30% loss of drone in the cabin just went out the tailpipe. It's ####in loud! I'm gonna be driving down to LA for the weekend to be with the family for the holidays and I'm sure that I'm going to get hounded by "the man..." because of the loudness.

i currently have an invidia as well. a buddy of mine wants to sell me a spoon TP. would this make the invidia louder? would it help or hurt the infamous invidia drone?
