Default Invidia... Crapback?

First off. I hear that the invidia will fit the 06 s2k. is this correct? I mean with no modifications at all..

I also hear that it is very loud. but what about the quality of the sound. Is it just loud or does it sound good too?

Invidia seems to be on the cheaper side of the affordability market. How is the quality? Is it a well built exhaust or is it a crapback?

I am interested in getting an exhaust. I like the T1R Sparrow. It is kinda steep for me, $ wise. So im curious about the Invidia. I just bought the Megan header and testpipe. (tho I wanted the resonated pipe.. spugen sent me one w/o, working on that one...)

Thanks

i will say this, as will many others. easily one of the nicest sounding exhausts for this car. it is loud, but you learn to live with it. mine's been good to me.

as far as quality, nice tubing, smooth bends, decent welds. comes with all the hardware, its an overall nice exhaust.

i have a v3, and if i were to nitpick i could say this..

the v3 has a 70mm main pipe, but the flanges are not 70mm, they are the normal flanges.. 60mm, 63.5mm, not sure didn't measure but they're noticeably smaller.

the rear split needs two open ended wrenches to bolt on, due to the curve of the pipe a socket won't fit on two of the nuts.. not a big deal, just was annoying at the time to find an open end wrench.

and the mufflers clamp on, works fine, just have never been a huge fan of clamps, i guess it's a plus in one way tho, because it gives you flexibility to make sure it fits your bumper the way you want it.

have it and im loving it...its loud at first but it tones down...i dont know if i got used to it or maybe i am going deaf but..its the nicest sounding exhaust after the hks imo. Also, i heard the exhaust quiets down a little after you break it in...the welds are clean and the burnt tips look great. And you get a nice growl in vtec

Ill prob get Flamed for this...

ive heard plenty of invidia v1 and v2's and i think they sound kinda sloppy. just kinda burbally? and alittle too "forced".. sounds like the mufflers are trying too hard to make sound, rather than comming from the engine or the car its self.. if that makes any sense.. and personally, i dont like the burnt tips or even dual cans on the s2k for that matter... and having INVIDIA slapped on the y-pipe is alittle lame. maybe if it special in some way..

but thats just my opinion..

i have, what at one point, was a spugen single, but i have a different muffler and i had to redo a good amount of a exhaust to get it to fit my 06.. its pretty much a straight pipe from the header back... loud? extremely... but to me, it sounds very precise and.. well.. intimidating. sounds like the entire car is screaming.. rather than just the muffler.

I put the quality of the Invidia right up there with any other exhaust out there. The welds are precise, the bends are perfect and the stainless shines like a new nickel. As far as the sound, its an acquired taste. Loud, yes. But look at it this way, so are F1 cars.

Hell yea for HKS, Invidia sounds too much like every other honda to me, the HKS gives the car a better sound IMO. I am not a big fan of the polished pipes either, the HKS is a black/gold color when new and turns all flat black overtime, the only part that is polished is the mufflers. And the piping it tucked up closer to the car in the HKS so you can't see it from behind the car.
