Invidia... Crapback?

First off. I hear that the invidia will fit the 06 s2k. is this correct? I mean with no modifications at all..
I also hear that it is very loud. but what about the quality of the sound. Is it just loud or does it sound good too?
Invidia seems to be on the cheaper side of the affordability market. How is the quality? Is it a well built exhaust or is it a crapback?
I am interested in getting an exhaust. I like the T1R Sparrow. It is kinda steep for me, $ wise. So im curious about the Invidia. I just bought the Megan header and testpipe. (tho I wanted the resonated pipe.. spugen sent me one w/o, working on that one...)
Thanks

Briefly skimmed through the posts. I've had an Invidia since March 2003. First one was the V1, and now the V2. That cracked exhaust was not from hit something. I have jumped my car, grounded down that rear flange, and reshaped the lower rear tie bar. Never a problem with the exhaust. The cracked example could possibly be an example of "one that wrongly passed inspection." It happens.
As for sound on the street, it will get noticed. Yes, there is a drone between 3300-4300 rpms if no modification is done to the exhaust(which I've never done). It does not sound like the fart cans running around on the typical ricer.
Those that think it does are most likely tone-def to begin with. I think one person put it quite well... it's almost like two different exhausts. At and after VTEC, it sounds simply amazing!
On the track at Fall Colors '04(160 S2000 meet), I had many, many people comment that my exhaust was the meanest, most F1 sounding car out on the track. The video I have outside of the car is pleasant to my ears. Now that I'm stroked(not FI anymore), the pitch has definitely deepened. Test pipe and Invidia at WOT is amazing. The fact that you're saving approximately 20-25lbs over stock isn't a bad thing either.
My opinion, single outlet exhausts look ghey on the S2000. I come from an American-badged background. The S2000 is my first import. I'm sure that has something to do with my perspective(that, and I'm 40
). I am, however, about to switch to a single for track/power purposes. I would not have a single on a DD or even a semi-DD. I don't like the look and don't need the additional attention from the po-po. In the almost four years of running an Invidia, I have only received one exhaust ticket. funny thing is I was on the freeway doing the speed limit in 6th gear(drone-zone). Had I put it in 5th, I would most likely not gotten the ticket. For the record, that was with the test pipe on.
Lastly, my wife will not allow me to sell two things on my S2000- the Veilside hood(she bought it) and the Invidia.
If you don't want loud, buy the Comptech.

I love my Invidia V3. It sounds like an F1 car when you hit Vtec. I don't have any rattling tip issues on the exhaust. It weighs 25 pounds less than the stock one. Did i tell you it sounds awesome and put a big
on my face everytime I hit Vtec.

I can't compare anything to the Invidia V3 since this is the only exhaust I have any experience with.
My impression-- Loud at WOT, drone during decelleration. Neither of these two qualitys offend me.
The Invidia is also very quiet when cruising at moderate to high speeds.
The V3 is pretty and build quality obvious and the price is right.

The standard honda ricer sounds like a dying duck with some buzzy, tinny, rattling noises. Unless you've heard it in person, it sounds far from that.
Although I do like the HKS sound. Its nice but the talk of it loosing horsepower (when the invidia is dyno proven by ME as well as others to gain hp) was not worth it for me. Just my opinion on the subject.
FWIW, singles are ugly and most don't flow with this car as they stick out sideways and what not. Plus one side of the bumper still having an opening looks ricy AFAIK.

I had mine spot welded(not sure if it was TIG, MIG, whatever). No mo' rattles.
