Default Invidia Install pointer(s)

Hey guys... I just got my Invidia duals delivered today from Steve from Evo.

I have a can of Pb Blaster in case some bolts are too hard to undo by hand.

Wondering what you guys use, if anything, to remove the old exhaust from the hangers and in what order you remove and install each peiece.

Would you recommend 2 hands or 4?

Thanks in advance!

First get liquid wrench to help soften up the bolts.

Second get some silicone spray to get the hangers nice and lubed up.

Third, make sure you have a nice long wrench because you need a lot of leverage for the bolts on the cat -- PITA...The more hands the better for this!

Otherwise the install is very straight forward. Mine took a total of about 6 hours...4 of which was running back and forth to the local hardware store getting equipment that we didn't have

Enjoy the exhaust! I love me

Also getting a new donut gasket would be good. A replacement isnt included in the kit.

thanks for the tips guys!

I had replaced my cat with the berk test pipe in September, with no liquid wrench and it took FOREVER to get the bolts off! I had replaced the front cat gasket then, but looking at the rear cat gasket it looked almost brand new.

Hopefully the rear car bolts aren't too tight now from me undoing them a few months ago....hope the exhaust ones aren't too bad.

I noticed on my box it says Invidia GT300 polished, yet everyone calls it the N1? Is there a difference? I have the new one that has the ti tips. Just wondering, I don't seem to see N1 anywhere....

Don't forget to pick up three bolts for mounting the cat the the exhaust, the oem cat has three bolts that are somehow welded onto the cat itself so without them bolts then you're screwed. Also anything that can loosen up them nutts and bolts are your friend, use 'em wisely. I'd went with WD40, also used it on the hanger themselves and they just slide right out. Oh and like XViper had said many of times, it's better off to knock them nutts and bolts loose then to force them. I'd used a closed wrench with a hammer, also a socket wrench for when it gets outta hands.
