Does the model year matter when referring to the catalytic converter bolts? Would the bolts on an older car be more difficult to remove that a newer car? For people who have replaced their exhausts, did you have to replace the bolts or did you reuse them? Thanks for any replys.

Older bolts are harder to get out becuase the rust has had more time to bond to the bolt.

I knocked the bolts out with a mallet and used the new ones

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I have an MY05 and am going to be installing my exhaust very soon and am trying to get all the info I can so I will know what to expect. By the way, that was a great video you made about your Invidia, it could not have came out better.

I'd went with WD40, also used it on the hanger themselves and they just slide right out.
I wouldnt advise using WD40 on the rubber, for over time this will corrode or break down the rubber. If you do, make sure you clean them very well before re installing.

Enjoy the exhaust! I love me
I'm about to install one tomorrow but I just had to comment on what he said... Yes it was a typo but it still looks funny

ALSO: Can I use an impact wrech to take the nuts and bolts off or is that too powerful?
