Default To invidia or not to invidia

I'm on the virge of picking up a nice '03 silverstone/red s2k this thursday.... I have the option of choosing whether or not I want the guy's invidia exhaust with it (for 50 bucks and a case of beer )

The invidia was not installed when I test drove it, so I don't know how it sounds. I saw that one comparison video, though... It sounds very loud, but awesome. I'm just worried it might be a pain in the ass (or ears) on long trips, and if it might sound too ricey in real life. Hard to tell from the video. Rice belongs in sushi, not cars!

Any thoughts? Or is this a stupid question?

Thanks

I agree. If it's only $50 extra, take it. If you don't like it--only a few bolts and it's off. Then you can profit.

The deal might not include the stock exhaust if he opts for the Invidia. So there would be the hassle of finding a replacement if it's too loud.

Yeah, take it if you have no brain, b/c if that's the case the excess noise and droning won't bother you. Invidia is the worst exhaust I've ever heard on the S2000, I'd much rather have stock.

I just bought an invidia, because it hits a deeper note than my magnaflows. I am going to coat the pipes with jethot powdercoat, heatwrap it, then put a layer of soundproofing over it to kill the drone but maintain the best sounding exhaust for the S. I killed the drone on my resonator lacking magnaflows using this technique and I know it will work for the invidia. Here is the thread outlining the magnaflow experiment...

For anyone that thinks the stock exhaust does any justice to this car
