My buddy just got an exhaust ticket for his B18 swapped LS integra a week ago, and it was a $30 charge plus all the other fee's added up to about $80 all together.

Thanks vbmarcus for some honest answers! It does sound like everything I want in an exhaust that I will only be listening to once or twice a weekend maybe! If my family ever wants to drive it I will teach them how to install the silencers (simple).

as far as tickets, I've seen them around 120 I am guessing. I guess I could simply say it is stock as they will probably have no real proof that it is to loud or not...cops around here do not have db readers.

I can't wait to order this baby monday!
Glad I could be of some help. I think you will love the exhaust... never heard a 4 cylinder sound as throaty as with the Invidia.

Here is what I wrote in the Group buy section about this exhaust -

There is def. some drone, but it can be controlled on the highway to an extent. When you are letting off the gas is when its the worst . But, the sound this car now makes is just unbelievable. I love this exhaust. I have always considered the S2k to be a hardcore sports car that is not for everybody. This exhaust is just like that. If you want to feel and hear acceleration, then this is your exhaust. I you want a quiet touring type of ride, dont get this one. Go for a Fujitsubo or just have your resonator cut out. To sum it up this is a hardcore exhaust that matches the hard core tendencies of this car both in looks and in sound.

One more quick question, how about state inspection? Can they fail me for an aftermarket exhaust, and if they can how do they actually know?

(obviously I will put the silencers in)

Am I going to have to replace the exhaust for inspection?

Thanks

I own the invidia as well. I also run catless. It sounds, well undescribable. With the silencers in the drone is not too bad, and it still has some bark. With the silencers out it just sounds outrageous.

I drive down woodward ave every day going to work (woodward dream cruise road)... I have had both a guy in a ferrari and a guy in a porsche 911 at a light compliment me on my exhaust.

I'm 34, so I'm not exactly a kid. But I also appreciate hearing the car. I know there are a lot of older gents on here, that think it should sound like a caddy. These are the guys that buy the invidia, turn around and sell it, and then dog it. If you don't want to hear the car, then this isn't the exhaust for you. Otherwise you'll love it.

Inspection stations now use OBD readers, so as long as you dont have a CEL on, you'll be A-ok

PS: I just got the invidia this week and installed it yesterday.....all I can say is "WOW". Rediculously throaty for a 4 banger and yes, the drone is bad, but you'll get used to it, I almost have already. The silencers help ALOT, but theres still droning. IMO- great exhaust for the money.

I have a DVD video record, I will be making a video of the invidia when I recieve it so everyone can see what it is really like, expect it to be longer (like my last video I made) then a 15 second clip
