I have an Invidia on my car and I love it. To be honest, I could actualy stand it to be a bit louder and I wouldn't complain. BUT, I am going to be driving over 1000 miles to the dragon in a few weeks. I know that no matter how much I like the sound, I will have a headache after a while. I am considering using silencers for the drive down to the dragon to prevent this. Problem is, I don't have any silencers and I am wondering if it is worth the money to get them. Anyone have any experience with the silencers? How much do they work? Where to get a set cheap. Cheap is big since this will probably be the only time I ever use them. thanks

 

Fairly big difference with silencers. I haven't removed them since I installed them. I lost one once and as I recall the replacement was $35 shipped so a pair might be a few dollars cheaper.

 

I have one silencer instock as I recall, anyone want it for $20 shipped?

I would look on Ebay, silencers are one of those things that quality doesn't really matter. I think if you can find them you can get them dirt cheap, I remember buying N1 style mufflers with silencers for 8$ a piece. Good luck.

if i recalled correctly, 1 silencer in one of the invidia canisters had nearly the same amount of effect as 2 silencers in both canisters

 

Really?? How does that work?

 

When i got my invidia i thought it was too loud and put them in for a day.....didnt like the sound - it WAS quieter....but the tone i didnt like as well and idling I could hear it rattle a little. I like the exhaust now and dont think i will ever put the silencers in again.

I havent taken a long trip yet...that may influence my opinion!
