Default Invidia test pipe/exhaust setup

I for one have this set up and had the exhaust for 6 months before I added the test pipe. I have had both for 2 months and it seems the exhaust has gotten louder, it even seems to backfire when shifting between gears.
Has anyone experienced this? I want to know if this is normal or if maybe something is wrong with the exhaust.
Thanks.

I agree, it is louder and VTEC is sweet, but the backfiring concerns me....

AP1's run rich anyway

you can always get a VAFC or EMS to tune it a bit

i wasnt too concerned about the backfiring but
one night my buddy was following me and i took
2nd to redline and let off and he told me no bullshit
i had blue flames shooting out
after hearing the backfire i guess its possible but
i have yet to see it

I have the same setup, and yes, every once in a while I might hear a very slight backfire.

VTEC sounds 1000000x better with a test pipe. I must say, it's the best sounding exhaust in vtec when running a test pipe.

I run this setup too, I also had the exhaust for 8 months before getting the test pipe. Backfire happens when decellerating when still in gear, and during shifts, it has become one of those noises that I just accept. I agree, one of the best sounding setups available for the car. You guys notice the reduction of the drone with the test pipe? It's great!

I have this setup but I've never once experienced it backfiring.
