I get back fires once in a while. I was told its due to unburned fuel exiting your engine and the lack of the cat is what causes it. I dont think its anything to worry about unless its excessive, like between ebery shift.

Thanks guys, don't get me wrong, I'm totally in love with this setup. I'm just glad to hear others' thoughts on it and am also glad I'm not the only one experiencing some back fires. Now I'm off to VTEC

There is nothing wrong with a little backfire.

It's going to happen unless a car has been tuned very well and leaned out quite a bit.

At least you know your car is running somewhat rich... better a little too rich than a little too lean

i've had that set up for 3 days now. and the first night we put it on i had people following behind while i got on it once and they said it shot flames. it is very loud tho, very very very loud. but damn it sounds sweet when it kicks it.
