Exclamation ITS MINE!

Hello to everyone, this is my first post here at S2KI. I am no stranger though I have been in love with S2000's for years !!

Im probably a little younger than a good lot of you so I had to settle for a more used S2000. Please tell me what you think of this:

2000 Black/ Black-Red
70k on the Odo

Surprisingly pristine

I nabbed it for 15,400 , was that a good decision? I normally research everything I buy for a long time but I already knew , I had to get it!

I need some help from you vets because the search function is not working right to my knowledge...

1) I saw a lot of you talk about some sort of clamps for the rag top that replace the stock ones. The people in that post all said the noise was reduced considerably. I see now with the top up there is some good noise comming through and would like to reduce this ASAP. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

2) Secondly I also remember some of you guys talking about custom seat lock screws. I believe yall had a group order, does anyone have any left or are they available for purchase?

3) Lastly a week or so ago I saw on here at S2KI that we get a discount on some HKS exhaust, either the Hi Power or the Hyper. I like the sound of both so I wouldn't care which one it is. Is this still being sold? And would you guys recomend? Im not looking for ultra-loud just a little more audibility and bass resonance.

Thank you so much!!

Anyone know anything, especially, about anything I can replace from stock to my it more quiet when the top is up?

Memphis is terribly unforgiving with its forever changing weather patterns. So i cant always have the top down like I would if i were in a place like SoCal

Replace the top with a '02+ one. There's a big difference between the two. Inspect your seals to...5 years is a long time for rubber seals to be exposted the way an S2000 does.

Thanks for the reply Rio..

Are the tops of the '02+ year models interchangeable with 2000-2001 year models? I have found one at www.hardtopguy.com for 925 but this is pretty pricey, are there any alternatives out there that are reputable?

Are you running a aftermarket exhaust? If so , what type?

Congrats

Anything you want to know about this car can be found by using the search function. If you thought about it, the odds are it has been discussed.
Just remember to search first (when it's working) and you'll be fine.

so far i've only used rubber or silicone tubing on the hooks and it made a big difference in the noise.

I won't get into exhausts...modds...there's a ton of info you can use. There's a Top conversion in the NTS2KOC's page at S2000.org There's plenty of decent used tops on ebay.

Thanks for the resources guys!!

I actually did try the search feature at the time i wrote my first post. Now that its working I have found some cool stuff but still not those items i saw discussed on a certain post earlier. I think they are called strikers or whatever you call the things that latch the top down to the windshield.

I am just so excited... I have waited and saved for so long it seems surreal.
