If we are very lucky, around 2010-2012 we may receive another 0.20L displacement bump, which will add 5 ft-lbs of TQ at 3000 RPMs. However, the new engine will have a redline conservatively lowered to 6000RPM, at which point the S2000 will develop 234HP, as defined by the latest horsepower counting procedures.

Why can't you guys let us late S adopters enjoy a bit of the glory while there's still some left. Stop reminding us that new Accords/Civics/TSX/etc are close to us in performance.
Sigh. It's still a $50K car in Canada new dammit!

The main problem with the S2000 is that Honda makes them inexpensive enough to where even the mall parking lot pimple cream crowd and general low end whiners can actually somehow afford to buy them. There are fast cars available that the whiners could buy, but the whiners probably aren't sufficiently clever to hold down the type of employment needed to pay for the really fast cars. The result is their whiney post in this forum.

I hate to break it to you, but they stopped making the S2000 in 2003.
After that it is a S2200 under an assumed name. At least I think I read that somewhere around here. Can't seem to remember where though.
