I've lost 6th gear.
Someone must have stolen it when I wasn't looking.
Seriously, tho... After 20k mi, I'm short one gear. No matter what I do, I can't get into 6th. I've experienced the grind and thought about having that fixed, but now it looks like a bit of a necessity.
It's like there isn't even a 6th gear - no partial into gear or even a feeling of "aha, there's a notch it should fit into" or anything. Clutch in, out, engine on, off, rev high, rev low... no dice.
In addition, it's been getting increasingly difficult to get the thing into 1st from a standstill. ARGH. Damned Honda transmissions. I had my Integra transmission rebuilt under warranty at 20k too... Perhaps I'm just really bad on 'em, but I didn't think I was THAT bad...
So I guess I'll go get the grind fix, pressure plate and a new/rebuilt tranny.

My Teg has 120,000 miles on the original Trans (clutch replaced at 80K). It is now beginning to show some signs of deterioration but no problems to speak of. It now is sometimes very difficult to engage 1st and reverse.
The S2000 is an all-new, low volume car - you have to expect some problems, IMHO. Take it in and get it fixed under warranty.

Chris, dude, sorry to hear about your 6th gear problem. Time to take 'er in to get the whole thing rebuilt it looks like!
Same thing happened to me last year, except with my 86 Integra at 150,000 miles. I lost 5th gear instead of 6th but same deal. For half of what it would cost to rebuild the tranny, I searched and bought a tranny out of a wrecked Integra.

sorry to hear it, but it may be as minor as a broken or loose shifting fork? Only opening it up will tell.
I had a broken fork get in the way of another, locking it out of that other gear, *not on the S2000*
