Why did Honda need to advertise it? The types of enthusiasts that were going to buy S2000s sure as heck knew about them. For the first year or two, prices remained above MSRP in most areas. For a niche car where you only plan to build 8-10k per year, there's no reason to waste millions of dollars in advertising.

But yea, I never really even saw them on the road either. But I like it that way. It keeps the community tight nit and mostly for enthusiasts. It makes me smile everytime I am driving through a random state and some random person in another S2K waves at me. I hope we never lose that connection as a community.
